In FIFA 19 the FUT Swap Deals are now available after a longer delay. The swap items caused confusion throughout the week – but the rewards are worth it.
The rewards in June: As many players hoped, the rewards this month are even stronger than in May or April. Among the packs, there are even guaranteed TOTS player packs this time. Additionally, there are extremely strong players and a Mid-Icon pack.

How to unlock the rewards
What are FUT swap items? Swap items are player cards that are only meant to be exchanged for rewards. You can obtain these through:
- SBCs
- Season Objectives
- Squad Battles
Exchanging items: To exchange the items, you just need to insert them into the respective SBCs. But be careful: There are only 14 available per month. So, you can’t unlock all of them. Think carefully about which rewards are most valuable to you!

Here’s how to get the swap items: As always, the first swap item is given for free. The next player items will come throughout the month. We’ll keep track in the following list of which items are already known and how you can get them:

This is why the FUT Swap Deals were delayed
This is why there was confusion: Normally, the FUT Swap Deals are always released at the beginning of the month. After all, usually you need the full period to gather all 14 items by the end of the month. If you miss an item, you may not secure the best rewards.
Via Twitter, EA Sports announced on Monday that the new swap items would come on Tuesday. But those who checked in the game found that they were not there. In a further statement, EA also confirmed with the German Twitter account that the FUT Swaps “would come during the week”:
Errors in the game: Murillo’s swap item findable in the market
This is the reason for the delay: The reason that the swap deals did not arrive as planned at the beginning of the week was due to an error on EA’s part:
In the game itself, EA explained the situation: The bronze card of Steven Murillo appeared as a tradable swap item card in the market. The swap items are usually non-tradable. After all, the FUT Swaps are about earning these and not just buying them with coins.
The card was reverted to its normal bronze form by EA. However, the swap deals were delayed due to the error.
In addition, EA Sports promised a “make good”, which is compensation for all players who bought Murillo on the transfer market. However, players on Twitter and reddit report that they have yet to receive such compensation. EA also left unclear what it would ultimately look like.

This is the feedback: On reddit, the error first caused confusion. Many players see the swap deals as one of the better innovations this year and looked forward to the new Swap Deals.
Especially since the rewards have been getting better in recent weeks, some players hoped for the best FUT swap month ever. When the error became public, the feedback was negative – especially since it was not the only error that week.
Also the SBC, in which you were supposed to get a guaranteed Süper Lig TOTS player, delivered only a random Gold player in the end. Although this error has been fixed, the mood remains tense:

EA made the error in a week that was already turbulent due to the discussions around a resurfaced patent. Overall, players are also hoping for improvements. They at least expect these to come in FIFA 20, which will be presented next Saturday at E3:
