In FIFA 19 Ultimate Team, the FUT Champions system is changing: From now on, you need to qualify for the Weekend League through Division Rivals.
FUT Champions is the most lucrative mode in FUT 19, where players compete online for the best prizes in the so-called “Weekend League.” However, you first need to qualify for the Weekend League – a hurdle that many players failed to overcome in previous FIFA titles.
In FUT 19, the way you qualify for the Weekend League is changing.
In FUT 19, qualification is through Division Rivals
While in FUT 18 you had to win a “Daily Knockout” tournament or promote to League 1 in the Online Seasons to participate in the Weekend League, FUT 19 eliminates the Knockout tournaments and the Online Seasons.
Both will be replaced by the Division Rivals. This is a new mode that aims to make “normal” online matches more competitive. You will play each week only against other players who are in the same skill-based league. By winning, you can advance in divisions.
How do I qualify for the Weekend League? With each game and each win in Division Rivals, you not only earn Skill Rating points for Division Rivals but also Weekend League points. You can always check how many you have at the qualification progress:
Once you have collected enough Weekend League points (2000), you can purchase access to the Weekend League. You can use your points on any weekend of your choosing – it doesn’t have to be the upcoming weekend if you don’t have time then.
Are there other ways to qualify? Division Rivals are the only way in FUT 19 for you to get into the Weekend League.
The re-qualification process has also changed a bit: If you successfully participate in the Weekend League, you will receive FUT Champions points with your weekly rewards. You will again need to collect 2000 points for re-qualification, which you can fill not only with Division Rivals matches but also with Weekend League matches.
What else is changing in FUT Champions in Ultimate Team?
