Even though FUT generates the most revenue for EA Sports, many players buy the latest FIFA installment primarily because of the classic career mode.
A leak has been circulating on the internet for several days, promising several changes regarding the manager in the career. This aspect is supposed to come into focus. We provide you with our assessment of the rumors.
Manager Adjustments: A Custom Editor for the Coach
Finally design the coach yourself? According to the rumors, it will finally be possible to create your own manager in the career mode. This would move away from the generic, pre-made coaches. Twitter user @FUTMentor created their own concept related to the leaks:
Our assessment: In our previous article with fan requests for the career mode in FIFA 19, we expressed the opinion that a coach editor would not require much effort. After all, the option to create and customize players already exists. We believe that customizable managers in career mode are quite likely.
According to user reports, this feature has been confirmed by EA Sports producers. However, we do not have official sources.
Press Conferences: Using Statements as a Coach to Influence the Career
Interviews in career mode now too? In “The Journey”, the story mode featuring Alex Hunter, there are already interviews. If the rumors are to be believed, we will also be able to respond to questions from journalists in FIFA 19’s manager mode. This would tick another item off our wishlist for the coach career.
Our assessment: The career mode urgently needs more dynamism. Since media appearances now play a significant role in modern football, the career mode should also adapt. However, this innovation would likely require more effort than the manager adjustments. Therefore, we believe that press conferences are quite possible, but one should not get too excited too soon.
According to Twitter user FUT Mentor, this feature has also already been confirmed. However, we do not have confirmation from EA Sports.

What do we know about the career and other FIFA modes?
Career Mode: Not much is known about the coach career. It is set to get a significant boost in terms of design and authenticity with the Champions and Europa League, along with new stadiums and new leagues and teams.
Pro Clubs: There is otherwise little information about the career, and no information about Pro Clubs. Therefore, we have listed 7 changes that the mode desperately needs.
Ultimate Team: The first icons have been confirmed, and EA wants to openly display the set contents for buyers. Otherwise, we will also have to wait a few more days for information here.
