In FIFA 19 the Weekend League is rescheduled for one day this weekend. EA Sports has been dealing with server issues since Thursday evening.
Weekend League postponed by one day: Anyone wanting to start their Weekend League round today will find that it does not work.
The reason: This week the Weekend League takes place one day later. It runs this weekend from Saturday (November 3) to Tuesday (November 6) instead of Friday to Monday. The rewards should come as usual on Thursday evening.
FIFA 19 with server issues
EA server down: Already on Thursday evening, more and more players reported server problems and could not log in. This caused dissatisfaction especially among Weekend League players: Some were only a few points away from qualifying for this weekend.
Matchmaking disabled: Shortly before midnight, EA Sports then disabled matchmaking to address the server issues more precisely. The game is now running again. This Friday morning, EA announced the rescheduling of the Weekend League.
What the players say
Frustration about server problems: Many players expressed their dissatisfaction with the server issues on Thursday evening. Many are also unhappy with the rescheduling.
The problem: Some players only have time for the Weekend League on Fridays and cannot complete all matches now.
There are also advantages: At the same time, some are also happy that due to the rescheduling they can still collect the missing qualification points. Also, the new distribution from Saturday to Tuesday suits some players even better than the normal Friday-Monday rhythm.
Since only 30 instead of 40 matches need to be completed, the rescheduling does not affect the players as much as it would have in the last season.
However, everyone agrees: EA should apologize for the inconvenience – for example, in the form of free packs. In the past, EA has often taken this route of apology but has not yet commented on it.
