In FIFA 18 there will be no Signal Iduna Park. EA has now confirmed this. The stadium of BVB will only be included in PES this year.
This is a massive surprise: For the first time in nearly 20 years, there will be no Signal Iduna Park in the new FIFA installment from EA Sports.
This was confirmed by Marc Goroll from EA in response to an inquiry from WELT: The BVB stadium will be missing in FIFA 18.
The reason for this is a partnership between BVB and Konami, which is why the Signal Iduna Park will now be exclusively featured in “Pro Evolution Soccer 2018”. In addition, BVB fans can look forward to authentically modeled BVB players and some club legends, such as Lars Ricken or Michael Zorc, who are replicated in the game.

This exclusive deal between BVB and Konami only applies to the stadium – BVB will also be playable in FIFA 18. EA Sports was able to secure all rights from the DFL for FIFA 18. You can thus choose all Bundesliga clubs with their players in FIFA 18.
The stadiums are apparently not included in these DFL rights. In the FIFA series, there has always been a limited selection of original Bundesliga stadiums – most clubs have to play in generic stadiums. Only the Premier League has had all original stadiums represented in FIFA for the past few years.
German FIFA fans have long criticized the lack of Bundesliga stadiums. In FIFA 17, there was only the Allianz Arena, the Borussia-Park, the Volksparkstadion, the Olympic Stadium, the Veltins Arena, and the Signal Iduna Park. In FIFA 18, Germany’s largest football stadium is now gone. Whether there will be new Bundesliga stadiums is not known.
