In FIFA 18 Ultimate Team, the next event is traditionally the “St. Patrick’s Day” event. Here you can find all the information about green player cards, SBC’s, jerseys, and sets.
Update March 16 16:00:
There will be no separate “St. Patrick’s Day” event! Instead, the Irish holiday will be celebrated within the FUT birthday with weekly challenges. There, you can get “St. Patrick’s Day” cards that unlock the four football legends Bastian Schweinsteiger, Robin van Persie, Yaya Toure, and Wayne Rooney.
Everything about the “St. Patrick’s Day” event during FUT birthday can be found in our extensive overview of the 9th birthday of Ultimate Team.
Update March 16 10:00:
EA has announced the start of the 9th “FUT Birthday” event for this evening. Currently, it seems that St. Patrick’s Day will not be celebrated this year.
Original Article:
St. Patrick’s Day is an Irish holiday and is celebrated every year on March 17. Not only in Ireland but also in many other countries, the day is celebrated with lots of green and even more beer. There has been a corresponding event in FUT since FIFA 13 – and so St. Patrick’s Day is celebrated again in FIFA 18.
St. Patrick’s Day in FUT 18: All information about the release, special offers, SBC’s, and more
So far, EA has not released any official information about St. Patrick’s Day. We will of course keep this post updated.
However, there is already a green card design with clovers in the database, which can quite definitely be interpreted as a “St. Patrick’s Day” card.
The event is expected according to fifauteam to take place this year from March 16 to March 19, at 19:00 each day .
This is what happened for St. Patrick’s Day in FIFA 17
In FUT 17, there was a special, “green” team for St. Patrick’s Day. It consisted of 23 players of Irish nationality who received a green card. These cards were neither upgraded nor did they have any other function. They could only be used for exchanging for SBC’s. The Irish players could only be drawn from packs during the “St. Patrick’s Day” promo phase.

In addition, a green jersey was obtainable. It’s very likely that there will be a special jersey in FIFA 18 again, which can be obtained through a weekly challenge.
The Squad Building Challenges last year were very special: There were “Goldpot” rewards, where the player did not know beforehand how many coins they would receive as a reward. What kind of SBC’s we can expect this year is still uncertain. Presumably, it will still involve players of Irish nationality, and the green “St. Patrick’s Day” cards could also play a role.
As was the case last year – and in almost every promo phase – there will likely again be pack offers in the store. “Lightning Rounds” are also possible.
In FUT 18, one event follows another at the moment. The latest is the “Path to Glory” promo: 23 new “Path to Glory” spring cards have been released.
