In FIFA 18, the next title update is now live on PC. PS4 and Xbox One will follow later; this is update 1.06. Here are the patch notes.
Update 28.11.: Update 1.06 is now live on consoles. It is approximately 1GB in size.
In the first few months after a release, EA Sports regularly publishes title updates for the current FIFA installment. Late on 23.11., the next update for FIFA 18 was released on PC, which will also come to PS4 and Xbox One in the coming days.
Patch Notes – Title Update 1.06

Gameplay adjustments:
– A problem is fixed where there were incomprehensible penalty whistles when a defender won a header duel against the opposing offense but collided with another player.
– Sometimes goalkeepers stayed on the ground too long and did not attempt to catch the ball when it was within reach after a successful save.
– Goalkeepers did not rush to the ball in certain situations with back passes. This was particularly common with manual passes.
Changes in FIFA Ultimate Team:
– Players received a message that they had no more attempts in the daily knockout tournaments, even though they still had one last chance.
– A problem where the game froze when selecting an opponent too quickly in Squad Battles is fixed.
– Text revisions for team requirements in FUT Champions.
– A visual problem where an incorrect player rating was displayed in the player performance screen of the halftime menu is fixed.
Other changes in online modes:
– New matchmaking regions for the Pro Club Mode have been added.
– Players were unable to make quick subs when they had exhausted all available pauses.
– A problem where trophies in the “Pro Club Championship” celebration were not displayed is fixed.
– Team captains were kicked out of Pro Club matches when the voice chat was disabled.
Changes in Career Mode:
– A problem where a player was signed in advance but did not transfer to your team by the deadline is fixed.
– Some player attributes were missing from the squad hub.
Changes in Tournament Mode:
– The tournament bracket for the Women’s World Cup was empty after the semifinals.
Audio and visual changes:
– A problem where repeated whistling was heard in the stadium is fixed.
– Visual problems with the Bundesliga overlay are fixed.
– Overhauls of several kits and crests.
Server Release Notes Introduced
EA Sports continuously works on the servers. Most of the work improves the infrastructure or keeps the databases current. In other words, these server tasks are essential to keep the game running but do not have a direct impact on your gaming experience.
However, in the last two weeks, server-side changes have also been made that affect your gaming experience. EA Sports now aims to be more transparent than in previous years and to lay this out openly:
- The problem in the EASFC catalog where players did not earn EASFC points has been fixed. This issue has been long complained about in the community.

In addition, inconsistencies in the Switch version have been resolved, as well as an issue in FUT when having multiple accounts on a platform linked to a single EA account.
The server release notes will be kept up to date continuously.
They do not specify why EA Sports is taking this step toward greater transparency. It may be a response to the #FixFIFA movement:
