In FIFA 18 the title update 3 is coming to PC, Xbox One, and PS4. On consoles, it carries version number 1.04. What changes, what are the patch notes? Update: Apparently, there is a problem causing FIFA 18 to not start for some users.
Update: User reports are increasing that FIFA 18 is not starting on PC after the installation of this update. Currently, we do not have any information from EA Sports regarding this.
As of October 25th, the next title update for FIFA 18 is available for download and installation on PC. Console players will have to wait a little longer. According to EA Sports, update 3 will only be released on PS4 and Xbox One in the coming weeks.
This update fixes some bugs in the game and makes adjustments to gameplay. This time, the developers are particularly working on passes and goalkeepers.

Patch Notes Update 3 / Update 1.04 – What changes on PS4, Xbox One, PC?
These gameplay changes are coming:
- Ground passes will be less effective when passed blindly between 90 and 270 degrees. 0 degrees corresponds to the direction in which the player is looking. The ball will be passed with less speed and reduced accuracy. Between 140 and 220 degrees, the passes are least effective.
- When the goalkeeper holds the ball, user-controlled reactions are disabled when only one player can be controlled.
A selection of the issues being addressed:
- The goalkeeper sometimes parries the ball into their own goal.
- During headers and volleys, the goalkeeper sometimes dives too early.
- Players may sometimes become invisible during a match.
- When the goalkeeper catches a ball near the goal line, they may sometimes be unable to throw the ball.
- In friendly matches in Pro Clubs, game crashes may occur, and sometimes no invites are received.
- In career mode, crashes can occur during the first match of the season.
- The Chilean national jersey and emblem are now authentic.
- The volume of the Cristiano Ronaldo celebration will be adjusted.
- Visual issues with the Bundesliga broadcast package, with flags in the crowd, and with the ball will be fixed. Sometimes it can appear as if the ball is going through the goal net.
Specifically in Ultimate Team:
- An overview of the objectives will be added to the pause menu in all FUT online modes.
- The guest mode in FUT Online Seasons and FUT Online Draft is now in the game. This feature was activated a few days ago but was not visible yet.
- The FIFA Trainer will be disabled in FUT Champions.
- Additionally, display errors with the ICONs, jerseys, objectives, Squad Battles, and pack opening will be fixed.
