FIFA 18 was released on September 26, 2017, for all fans who purchased a Ronaldo or ICON edition. Today, exactly one week later, EA Sports is rolling out the first title update to bring improvements and fix bugs.
This update is called “Update 1” and has so far only been released on PC. In the coming days, after passing a certification process from Sony and Microsoft, it will also be available on PS4 and Xbox One.
The main new features from the FIFA 18 Update 1 – Patch Notes 1.03
Here are the main new features that Update 1 brings:
- The goalkeepers are getting better! So far, they have let in too many goals. Their reactions will be improved in certain situations.
- Additionally, shot accuracy has been reduced. Therefore, fewer easy goals are expected to be scored.
- The Champions Channel in FUT 18 now shows missed shots and a “hidden timeline”. Some bugs will also be fixed.
- The difficulty levels Amateur and Semi-Pro will be slightly easier.
- A problem is being fixed where players could control the goalkeeper in FUT single-player modes.
- In Career Mode, you can now delegate contract renewals.
- In Pro Clubs, there was an issue where players returned to an invisible lobby after the match.
- The opponent display is activated in online matches.
- The kit-clashing logic will be improved in online matches. This means that in the future, you should encounter fewer opponents with similar kit colors.
- The authentic Bundesliga broadcast package is coming.
- The goal net animations will be improved.
