This weekend, the second FUT Champions Cup in FIFA 18 is taking place in Manchester. If you have linked your Twitch and FIFA accounts, you can earn rewards for your Ultimate Team just by watching.
On the way to the FIFA eWorld Cup, there are two major FUT Champions Cups through which professionals can qualify. The second takes place from April 13 to April 15 in Manchester, featuring the best 128 FIFA players competing against each other. Overall, a total of $200,000 prize money is at stake.
As with the first FUT Champions Cup in Barcelona, you can win valuable prizes again this time. You just need to have linked your FIFA account with your Twitch account and follow the tournament in the livestream.
How You Will Be Rewarded for Watching
The first step is to link your accounts, which was possible until the start of the tournament. If you are still linked from the first FUT Champions Cup, you do not need to do this again. If you now turn on the Twitch stream, you will automatically receive a special jersey in the coming days.

Additionally, you have the opportunity on PS4, Xbox, and PC to receive untradeable “Twitch Drops”. You will receive these no later than 24 hours after the event if you are among the lucky winners.
During the first FUT Champions Cup, even Prime Icons like Patrick Vieira or Lothar Matthäus were awarded. You can find the icon symbol on a Twitter post from EA regarding the linking. It is therefore likely that Prime Icons will also be raffled this time.
The first three confirmed drops are the latest informs from Paul Pogba and Mohamed Salah, as well as Gareth Bale’s FUT Birthday card.
The Schedule for the FUT Champions Cup in Manchester
Matches will be played – as in Barcelona – initially in Swiss format. The 128 players will be divided into a PS4 and an Xbox group. After the group stage, 32 players per console will remain in the race, and the remaining matches will be played in normal knockout rounds.
On Friday, April 13, the group stage starts at 1 PM. On the first day, 5 rounds of the Swiss system are planned, with the remaining two taking place on Saturday from 1 PM.
At 4:30 PM on the second day, the knockout round begins, by the end there should be 8 players left per console.
On Sunday, April 15, the quarter-finals will take place starting at 1 PM. In the evening, the console finals will occur, and at 9 PM the “Grand Final” of the two console winners.
You can watch the livestream of the tournament on Twitch or Youtube, and stay updated on Twitter or Facebook.
German Professionals Under Pressure
While 7 Germans already qualified through the first FUT Champions Cup in Barcelona, the other 28 participants did not make it. The tournaments are not the only way to qualify for the FIFA eWorld Cup final. Nevertheless, the professionals will want to make everything clear as soon as possible.
In both FUT Champions Cups, 8 players per console secure a ticket to the Global Series playoff event, where a total of 128 players will compete again, 64 per console. The best 32 from the playoffs will face each other in the “Grand Final 18” of the eWorld Cup.

Among the wavering candidates are young talents such as Schalke’s Tim “Tim Latka” Schwartmann or Timo “TimoX” Siep. His teammate Benedikt “SaLzOr” Saltzer still has to worry about his playoff ticket.
A total of 24 Germans have qualified for the second cup. Players who already have a ticket for the World Cup are also allowed to participate. After all, the winner will receive a prize of $22,000.
The first tournament in January in Barcelona was surprisingly won by the 16-year-old newcomer Donovan “DhTekKz” Hunt. He and international heavyweights like “Gorilla”, “Tass”, or the newcomer from transfermarkt.de “Nicolas99fc” will not make it easy for the German FIFA professionals.
A German eSports player was even suspended for the tournament in Manchester – he is accused of cheating in the Weekend League.
