- Alessandro Bastoni, 66 -> 86 (18 years, Atalanta Bergamo) – The Italian boasts a height of 1.90 meters and is under contract until 2019 with a market value of 1.2 million euros. - Gian-Luca Itter, 67 -> 85 (18 years, VFL Wolfsburg) – The first German talent has a contract until 2012 and a market value of 1.4 million euros. - Kik Pierie, 68 -> 85 (16 years, SC Heerenveen) – The Dutchman currently has a contract until 2020 and a market value of 1.6 million euros. He is also 1.85 meters tall and has good speed values and strong jumping ability. However, endurance and defensive values still need improvement.

Central Midfielder (CM) – Talents
- Sergio Gomez, 67 -> 87 (16 years, Borussia Dortmund) – Nominally a number 10, the Spaniard fits better as a CM with 3 stars skills and weak foot as well as medium/medium work rates. With a contract until 2021 and a market value of 1.5 million euros, he is equipped with solid pace, dribbling, and passing values; he could improve his shooting and defensive values – at least if he plays as a CM.

His shooting and passing values still need improvement.
- Phakamani Mahlambi, 69 -> 85 (19 years, Free Agent) – The first talent without a club is South African. 4 stars on the weak foot, a very strong burst of speed, and good dribbling make him a good free transfer deal. FIFA 18 – Tips for Talents
Training talents takes a lot of time. If you focus on young talents, you will not have an elite team immediately, but a team with great potential. Only after a few seasons will these young players show what they are truly capable of.
If you wish, you can then sell them for a multiple of the purchase price.
If you are looking for more talents, you can send out scouts in the game to look for young players. They will send you reports with interesting talents. Good – and expensive – scouts can assess potential better than cheap scouts. Set specific criteria like age and snap up strong talents at a bargain price.

You can find top talents in all countries. These countries should be particularly suitable for the specific positions:
- Goalkeeper: Germany, Netherlands, Spain, or Italy
- Defender: England, Brazil, or Germany
- Midfielder: Argentina, Portugal, Spain, Italy, Netherlands, Brazil, or England
- Forward: Italy, Germany, France, Netherlands, Argentina, Spain, or Brazil
Two more tips:
- Scouts are particularly effective in their home country
- Don’t jump in immediately. The longer the observation time, the fewer “nasty surprises” you will have.
