After a plane crash in which nearly the entire crew of Chapecoense lost their lives, EA Sports shows solidarity in FIFA 17.
On Tuesday, a plane from the Bolivian airline LaMia crashed in Colombia. 77 people were on board, including the Brazilian football team AF Chapecoense. According to current reports, the tragedy occurred due to a lack of fuel. 71 people died, 6 survived.
The Chapecoense team was on their way to the final match of the South American Cup, the Copa Sudamericana, against Atlético Nacional from Medellín. Reaching this final was the biggest success in the club’s history.
Like many football fans, EA Sports now shows solidarity and pays respect to the victims with a special gesture. All players of FUT 17 will receive free jerseys and emblems of Chapecoense. In-game, the message came that we should signal our support to the friends, families, and fans of Chapecoense together.
