FUTmas is coming in FIFA 17. Here you can find all the info about this winter event in FUT 17.
Every year, the Christmas season is celebrated in FIFA’s “Ultimate Team” mode with FUTmas, just like in FUT 17. Last year, this event ran for nearly three weeks, with something new happening each day.
In FIFA 16, there were flash rounds, tournaments, and pack offers. If you logged into the web app or companion app once a day during this time, you received gifts. Additionally, there were in-game free packs – however, the cards in them were untradeable. Presumably, this will be the case again this year.
FUT 17 celebrates Christmas
FUTmas in FUT 17 runs from December 16 to January 3, 2017. In addition to pack offers and free packs, new squad-building challenges and Christmas kits are waiting for you in-game. These two kits are already known: As of now, this is all the information available. EA Sports is expected to release the remaining info today at 7 PM, and we will update this article then.
Update 7 PM: FUTmas is live! New content arrives every day. From December 16 – 25, SBCs will be available where you can win players wearing the jersey number of the corresponding day. For example, the first SBC today, on December 16, features players with jersey number 16:
From December 25 – 27, there will be mystery packs as rewards for SBCs.
Additionally, from December 16 to December 28, there are no team requirements for daily tournaments and the weekend league. Bring your best squad to FUT Champions.
And every day there are gifts in the app. So it’s worth logging in.
What impact does FUTmas have on the transfer market?
A look at the past years shows that this winter event greatly impacts the transfer market, similar to Black Friday. During this time, many packs are opened, which means many cards are on the market and prices drop. Normally, prices fall by more than 20%.
After FUTmas starts, prices tend to rise again; however, price developments can never be predicted exactly. It’s best to closely monitor the market during this time, snag bargains, and sell the cards at a high price. We present trading tips for FUT 17 here.
