In FIFA 17 “Ultimate Team” we summarize the information about the “Ones to Watch.” Which players are the stars in focus in FUT 17?
Update: On February 3rd, more Ones to Watch were released. Here you can find the winter edition!
The “FUT 17” season starts with a novelty: The “Ones to Watch,” also known as the “Stars in Focus.” Since these special player cards have not existed in the FIFA series from EA Sports before, let’s take a look at what it’s all about.
What is special about the “Ones to Watch” cards?
These cards highlight the best transfers of the past summer. From September 30th, the stars will be in focus for a limited time in the sets. A specific end date is not provided. Until October 10th, these are dynamic cards:
Throughout the season, this OTW card can be upgraded – The player receives better attributes and a higher overall rating. The prerequisite is that this player receives a TOTW card at some point in the upcoming months. If you then have a “Ones to Watch” card in your club, it will automatically be adjusted to the TOTW card and remain constant at this level – until a new, better TOTW card for that player is released.
In other words: The better the player performs in real football, the better your card will be. There’s a performance boost that corresponds to the latest TOTW values.
The stars in focus are referred to as “Live Items,” as they receive an update as soon as the respective TOTW card appears – regardless of whether they are currently in a club or on the transfer market.
What happens if the real player transfers clubs?
First, nothing. The attributes and the club remain the same. Only when this player receives a TOTW card in their new club will the entire OTW card be updated.
By the way: The position of the OTW card always remains the same.
