On March 19, 2009, the “Ultimate Team” mode was introduced in FIFA 09. On this day, the success story of FUT began – an online mode that became the most successful and profitable mode in the history of the FIFA series. Since then, FUT has been an integral part of FIFA, with new features added every year, such as in FIFA 17 FUT Champions and SBCs.
To celebrate this anniversary, the “FUT Birthday” event has been held in FUT since FIFA 14. This event is typically held shortly after March 19 and usually lasts a week.

FUT Birthday starts on March 31 at 7 PM. It ends on April 8.
Contents of the Birthday Event – Team, SBCs, Gifts
A birthday team has just been revealed. It will be live from 7 PM and features 23 players with upgraded cards: New premium SBCs are coming. This way, you can obtain unique items and a jersey.
Additionally, there are daily birthday SBCs. The more you complete, the better the rewards. The extra rewards will be available after the event, but before April 14. Here are the extra rewards:
- 3 daily SBCs – Mega Pack
- 4 daily SBCs – Premium Player Pack
- 5 daily SBCs – Rare Player Pack
- 6 daily SBCs – Rare Mega Pack
- 7 daily SBCs – Jumbo Rare Player Pack
- 8 daily SBCs – Ultimate Pack
The contents of these packs are untradeable. The rewards do not stack.

In FIFA 16 there were:
- Pack offers: New packs went live every 8 hours that could be purchased.
