In the upcoming football simulation FIFA 17 the cover, three different editions, and the pre-order bonuses are known.
Yesterday, EA Sports unveiled at 7:45 PM and presented the first footage of FIFA 17 in the reveal trailer. This year’s football simulation from EA Sports is under the motto “Football has changed.” A major innovation is the now officially confirmed switch from Ignite to the Frostbite engine.
A change also affects the cover of FIFA 17.
Cover of FIFA 17 without Lionel Messi
Since FIFA 13, the Argentine magician Lionel Messi has adorned the cover of the FIFA series. Months ago, various media reported that the contract between the FC Barcelona star and EA Sports is expiring. Possible successors have also been speculated: James Rodriguez or Jamie Vardy from Leicester City were highly favored.
Surprise: There is not one new cover star – but four! With Rodriguez, Hazard, Martial, and Reus, two players from the English Premier League, one from the Spanish Liga BBVA, and even a player from the Bundesliga have made it onto the cover. Apparently, the times are now over when a German cover star was sorely missed. The cover can be seen in the reveal trailer:
However, it is not yet known whether this will be an international “standard cover” or if there will again be different cover stars from country to country. At the moment, we strongly assume that these four stars will be depicted on the “FIFA 17” covers in all countries.
Editions and pre-order bonuses of FIFA 17

The benefits pertain to the “Ultimate Team” mode for FIFA 17. As can be read from the graphic, the draft mode will be back, which has been integrated since FIFA 16, as well as loan players and – not surprisingly – gold packs, jerseys, and the “Team of the Week”.
