The second part of Content Patch 4.4 “Prelude in Violet” for Final Fantasy XIV will be released on November 6. The patch will include the next area of Eureka called Pyros. The update will also continue the adventures of the popular detective Hildibrand.
What is Eureka Pyros? Eureka is a mysterious island that is plagued by wild aether storms. While exploring the island, players can gather materials to upgrade job-specific weapons and armor.
This is the equivalent of the relic weapon from previous expansions of FFXIV, which can be continuously improved until they become the strongest equipment in the game at the end of an expansion.

Eureka Pyros is the latest area opening up for players on the island. The area itself divides into two types of landscapes:
- Snowy Highlands of Pyros
- The volcanic caves inside the mountains, filled with flowing lava.

What is different about Pyros? In the new area of Eureka, new laws and rules apply. To this end, the development team has implemented the Logos System.
The Logos System allows players to use abilities that are not normally available for their current job. For example, a DPS could use the abilities of a tank or healing spells.
These abilities are created by the “Logogram.” There is no exact information on what exactly a Logogram represents. However, it seems to be a kind of puzzle that unlocks different Logos abilities with various combinations.

- Players can hold up to three different Logos abilities.
- The Logos abilities change depending on the Logogram combinations. Players should collaborate to discover new combinations.
- There are more than 30 different Logos abilities.
- The Logos abilities will also be very useful in the area after Eureka Pyros.
Eureka Pyros will also include “Dungeons” designed for large numbers of players. The FFXIV team has focused on implementing improvements from previous areas Anemos and Pagos in the development of Pyros.
What is the reward? As a reward for the grind in Eureka Pyros, players will be able to upgrade their elemental weapons and job-specific armors to a higher level.
After the weapon rewards for Eureka Pagos were disappointing, the developers want to adjust the Pyros equipment to the strength of the current gear from the Omega raid.

The confused detective Hildibrand returns
This is happening in the side story: With Patch 4.45, the adventures of the self-proclaimed detective Hildibrand and his crew will continue. Although the notorious thief was caught in the previous quest line, the legendary sword he stole is still missing.
Hildibrand is now on the hunt for the bodyguard Yojinbo, who has taken the sword.
