Final Fantasy XIV Stormblood is also known as version 4.0. In addition to new areas and classes, there are changes to the existing hero types and their gameplay. A separate page presents all the changes to the classes in detail.
Stormblood, the new expansion for Final Fantasy XIV, introduces new content such as the Red Mage, the Samurai or new areas inspired by Asia. In addition to Stormblood, Update 4.0 will also hit the servers of Final Fantasy XIV, overhauling the existing classes and making the overly complicated skill system a bit less complex.
Final Fantasy XIV Stormblood – Adjusted Skills – From Dark Knight to Summoner
As befits a major update, numerous balance adjustments will be implemented for the existing classes and jobs. For instance, the Dark Knight will become a better tank, as he generates more enmity with some skills and receives useful abilities like “Unleash” or Osmosis two levels earlier. Additionally, a whole slew of new commands such as “Blood Delirium” or “Quietus” will be introduced.
