Wizards Unite has launched and many players from Pokémon GO have tried it out too. One feature has notably caught attention, something that one wishes for in Pokémon GO as well.
What feature is it? If you’re moving quickly in Wizards Unite, for example in a car, the wizard in the game gets on a broom and flies.
While it’s just a small animation, it looks more realistic than the walking the character does in Pokémon GO.
Players want a bike in Pokémon GO
How can this be implemented in Pokémon GO? Those who have played the console games of Pokémon know how to move quickly there: with a bike.
It should be easy to incorporate such a bike into Pokémon GO. If you’re driving a car, the character jumps on the bike and rides along.
What do the players say about it? On Reddit, there is a relevant thread with over 700 upvotes. It calls for Niantic to include the bike in Pokémon GO. There is much agreement:

- HBFTM: “Also, a few avatar items that match the bike would be good, like a helmet.”
- nighthunterrr: “Pokémon GO needs a bike mode!! No more silly walking avatar.”
This feature is well received: Many players also praise that in Wizards Unite there is no speed limit. You can turn the inns even from the car.
This was removed from Pokémon GO just a few months after the release. At higher speeds, you cannot spin PokéStops.
One can assume that Niantic will quickly remove this in Wizards Unite as well. After all, this can become quite dangerous while driving.
