This is changing on the map: In the latest Far Cry installment, you are back in Hope County, the region where Far Cry 5 also takes place. The use of a nuclear bomb has significantly altered the game world.
Decant states that while many locations are still recognizable, such as a large statue of the Father from the previous installment. The ranch of John Seed is also used as the hideout of the “good people” in the latest installment.
These are the factions in New Dawn: In addition to the “good people,” there will naturally be an opposing faction that you must fight against. Familiar faces from Far Cry 5 will also appear. Additionally, there are the twins, who are supposed to be your greatest adversaries.
Decant says of the opposing faction: “They see the world in two categories of people. You are either a troublemaker or a problem solver, and you do not want to be a troublemaker.”
This is how it works with weapons: In New Dawn, it revolves a lot around crazy weapons that you should craft yourself. For that, you will find different parts throughout the game world that you can use for crafting.
The crafting takes place in your hideout. There you can assemble the parts and create colorful and crazy weapons. The weapons are also differentiated by ranks, so you can upgrade your weapons with certain parts.
This is how the wildlife has changed: The fauna in New Dawn has undergone a massive change. Many animals that appeared in Far Cry 5 will also be found in the latest installment. However, these animals have changed dramatically due to radiation and the drug Bliss, which played a significant role in Far Cry 5.
Decant compares the animals to prehistoric creatures, which are supposed to be particularly aggressive. Players should be cautious of these creatures.
When is New Dawn released? On February 15, Far Cry: New Dawn will be released on PC, Playstation 4, and Xbox One.
