A new story trailer for Far Cry New Dawn has been released. And it brings a crucial twist to the story.
What’s new? Far Cry New Dawn is the next entry in the Far Cry series that Ubisoft has ready for fans. After initial teasers and gameplay videos, there is now a rough insight into the game’s story. And with this twist, hardly anyone expected.
Spoiler Warning: If you haven’t finished Far Cry 5 or don’t want to know the ending, you should not continue reading this article. However, we have many more interesting articles about New Dawn on our theme page.
How the story changes around Hope County
In Far Cry 5, it was your task to fight against the cult “New Eden” and eliminate its followers. However, it looks quite different in New Dawn:
In New Dawn, the people of Hope County are desperate. The evil twins Mickey and Lou say that power is the new currency. And the two apparently are rich in this currency. Now the residents are looking for a solution to take on the twins. And who would have enough power for that? New Eden.
Arch-enemy acknowledges the desperation: It seems that the residents are personally asking the cult leader of New Eden, Joseph Seed, for help. He is the big villain in Far Cry 5. He seems surprised: “After all I have done. After all we have been through. You’re really asking me for help? You must be really desperate.”
For the players, it’s a big surprise to suddenly join hands with the actual opponent and fight against the twins. They truly seem powerful if one has to form such an unusual alliance.
Far Cry New Dawn will be released on February 15 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. It is the sequel to Far Cry 5 and is also set in Hope County, Montana. However, it’s set 17 years after an apocalypse. You will have to do without a great companion in the new part:
