Far Cry 6 introduces its main antagonist in a new cinematic. It was also confirmed that you can play as three of the most terrifying and coolest villains from the series!
What’s new? During the Ubisoft Forward at E3 2021, it was confirmed what a leak had announced just hours earlier. You can play as three of the villains from the title. The “Season Pass Trailer” for the game announced under the slogan “become the Villain” that you can play as villains from the past.
These are Vaas, Pagan Min, and Joseph Seed. This confirmed the leak that had already circulated several hours before the official announcement from Ubisoft Forward. We will embed the new trailers here.
The Story Behind Antón Castillo
What was shown? During E3 2021, a cinematic for Antón Castillo was released, revealing the background of the story. A group is on a fishing boat that is suddenly ambushed. A gunshot is heard, and the supposed assailant then enters the room where several people, including the protagonist, are standing.
Antón Castillo then enters the scene and calls his son Diego to him.

What’s the deal with the leak? Recently, a video was published on YouTube by Ubisoft in Russia. It featured material from the season pass for the upcoming Far Cry 6. Since it was likely an accident – perhaps a date for the automatic release during the E3 2021 was incorrectly entered – the video was quickly deleted.
However, savvy fans had already saved it and shared it on reddit. You can still see the leak there.
The DLC Will Let You Play the Coolest Villains of the Far Cry Series
What was visible in the video: The video showcases three scenes featuring the villains Vaas, Pagan Min, and Joseph. This alone should raise the hearts of Far Cry fans because all three are considered well-developed characters that people love to hate.
Additionally, in the video, before each clip, a “You are …” followed by the name of the respective villain is shown. This likely means that you will play through episodes from the lives of the three villains in the DLCs and step into their villainous shoes.
What kind of villains are they? If you are not familiar with the three villains from the leak, here are a few quick facts:
- Vas Montenegro (Far Cry 3): By far the most popular villain of the entire series is Vaas. He is a psychopathic sadist who leads a gang of pirates and revels in killing and torturing. However, he is also highly creative and has a very dark sense of humor, which is why people love to hate him.
- Pagan Min (Far Cry 4): The dictator Pagan Min rules the fictional Asian state of Kyrat with an iron fist and tolerates no disorder. Unlike many villains, he is often very friendly and composed. Unless things slip out of his control, then someone might get stabbed with a fork or a pen.
- Joseph Seed (Far Cry 5): The charismatic priest Joseph Seed leads a religious cult that firmly believes in the imminent end of the world and claims that God himself sent him to save the people of Hope County. However, those who do not join the sect are forcibly converted or brutally killed.
How reliable is the leak? It is not clear whether the material from the leak is genuinely authentic. However, recently, Ubisoft Canada started a poll on Twitter asking which villain from the series is the best, and those three villains from the leak were included as options, making it likely that we will indeed be able to play as the three villains in the upcoming season pass for Far Cry 6:
