At the Ubisoft Forward, new information about Far Cry 6 was revealed. After the game was recently leaked, Ubisoft now provided a comprehensive insight. They not only showed the first official trailer but also announced a release date. Console owners can be excited as well.
What do we see in the trailer? The trailer shows us President Anton Castillo and his son Diego.
Diego is sitting at the desk playing with a toy vehicle. But surprisingly, Castillo hands his son a grenade, which he eventually prepares to detonate. A difficult journey to the palace’s rooftop begins, while outside the building the revolution sets the city ablaze.
This is what makes the trailer so intense: The elements presented make the trailer so relatable to the viewer:
- Diego, whose fear is so close and tangible for us
- and our question of whether Diego can reach his goal with the grenade,
- while the uprising rages outside.
- also shocks with the ruthless nature of the father, who treats his own son this way.
While Castillo is the picture of calm, you can feel Diego’s fear and see the violence that is happening outside on the streets.
Where can you watch the official trailer? Ubisoft has released the official reveal trailer for Far Cry 6 on YouTube. We have embedded the trailer for you here:
What did Ubisoft show at their event? Ubisoft announced that Giancarlo Esposito – known as drug lord Gustavo Fring from Breaking Bad, among others – will portray the villain Anton Castillo in Far Cry 6. And considering colorful Far Cry enemies like Vaas, Pagan Min, or Joseph Seed, it could get quite exciting.
Additionally, a multiplayer mode will likely be present. A co-op mode was also present in Far Cry 5 – in this game, however, players could only take on a supporting role.
When will Far Cry 6 be released? The game will be released on February 18, 2021, for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, Stadia, and PC. Additionally, players who purchase the game for PlayStation 4 or Xbox One can upgrade for free to PS5 or Xbox One X.
