Far Cry 6: Trailer leaked with gameplay – Shows weapons and … Love for crocodiles

The gameplay of Far Cry 6 was supposed to be officially presented today, but a YouTuber uploaded his video early and leaked gameplay scenes a day ahead of schedule. We will show you what is known.

This was leaked: The video shows a mix of gameplay and commentary for about 5 minutes of the new installment in the Far Cry series. The leak is causing quite a stir in the community as it gives insights into the choice of protagonist and showcases a special rocket attack ability.

A certain closeness to animals is something we also know from previous installments in the series. In Far Cry 6, it seems possible to pet a crocodile.

Protagonist: Apparently, you can choose at the beginning of the story of Far Cry 6 whether you play as a man or a woman. In the embedded video, you can see the two possible protagonists at around 3 minutes and 30 seconds.

Weapons: In the leaked trailer, you can see a minigun, assault rifles, a silenced pistol, grenades, a CD player (that plays the Macarena song) and shoots CDs, and also a sniper rifle. A bow cannot be missed, of course. Many of the weapons look like they were assembled from scraps.

For close combat, there is a knife or a sword. To disable cameras and other electrical devices, you can throw something like an EMP grenade that apparently emits an electric shock.

Throwing weapons are also visible.

In some scenes, the protagonist is wearing some sort of jetpack on his back that briefly lifts the player into the air and burns the area below in a larger radius. This seems to function as an AOE attack.

Special ability: There is a fancy rocket launcher that could be used as a special ability. The camera switches to the 3rd-person view while a volley of projectiles is fired from the rocket launcher backpack, landing shortly thereafter at the target location. You can see this at 1:15 in the trailer.

Animals: You can pet, feed, and ride horses. The trailer also shows crocodiles that you can feed and pet. This seems a bit unusual, but apparently, the crocodiles can even fight for you. We have seen something like this before in Far Cry 5, where a puma, a dog, and a bear could fight by your side. This time, it seems to be crocodiles.

The trailer also features a cute dachshund that apparently has issues with its hind legs and is supported by wheels. He will probably help you in battle as well. His name is Chorizo and he has already been introduced by Far Cry.

Vehicles: The video shows normal civilian vehicles, souped-up civilian cars with a ram, sports cars with weapons, and off-road SUVs. Motorcycles are also included again.
