The next part of Far Cry has been leaked! Far Cry 6 is said to be released in February 2021 and even have a multiplayer mode. We will give you the information.
What has been leaked? Images and information about the new game by Ubisoft suddenly appeared in the Japanese PSN store. A lot has been revealed, such as:
- The setting
- The antagonist
- Your mission
- The release date
So far, these are still unconfirmed information. You should view them with a degree of skepticism.
Far Cry 6 with Multiplayer in South America
Where is Far Cry 6 supposed to take place? This part is supposed to take place in the state of Yara. This is said to be located in Central or South America. Many fans draw a connection to the state of Cuba.
You will move through dense jungle and through the capital Esperanza. Additionally, there are also paradise-like beaches that perfectly create the Caribbean flair.
What is it about? You will fight as a guerrilla fighter named Dani Rojas. You want to free your homeland Yara from the brutal regime.
Who is your opponent? Of course, you will fight against the dictator Anton Castillo, but this villain is also known outside the Far Cry world.
There is a little surprise here. Giancarlo Esposito plays the brutal dictator. You might know him from Breaking Bad, as he played the drug lord Gustavo Fring there. A few days ago, a leak surfaced that revealed the actor as the villain in Far Cry 6. (via GameStar)
When is Far Cry supposed to be released? According to the leak, Far Cry 6 is supposed to be released on February 18, 2021. We won’t have to wait long.
Will there be a multiplayer? It is to be expected. The leak from the PS store includes the statement “Online multiplayer games require a paid service from PlayStation Plus.”

You will probably be able to play online with your friends, but at least on PlayStation, you will need a Plus membership.
One could assume that they will implement the co-op mode again, which we already know from Far Cry 5. However, in that game, the second player only took a supporting role. You could not complete the game together; instead, only the progress of the first player was acknowledged.
