On July 5, Far Cry 5 will receive the free Title Update 8 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC, bringing new modes and bug fixes. However, players are still waiting for the most requested feature.
In addition to the three confirmed DLCs, Ubisoft will continue to support Far Cry 5 with free updates. The latest update brings a photo mode, new items for the Arcade mode, and much-needed bug fixes. However, players are still eagerly waiting for New Game+ or another character slot.

Update 8 brings Photo Mode
Photos for the single-player mode: The update introduces a photo mode to Far Cry 5 that can be used in all single-player modes. This includes the main campaign and the three previously announced DLCs: Dark Hours, Stranded on Mars, and The Living Zombies, as well as solo maps in Arcade.
The photo mode can be found in the pause menu and puts the player in a third-person view to better capture the image. It allows for a certain area around the player’s character to be portrayed.
There are also several image settings, such as time of day, various filters, or frames. It is also possible to set whether characters in the image are shown or hidden and what facial expression the player’s Deputy should have.
Lobby browser, Arcade assets, and bug fixes
Update brings further innovations: The lobby browser for the Arcade mode is new, allowing players to find multiplayer lobbies. In addition, new items from the already released DLC Dark Hours and the upcoming content Stranded on Mars in July have been added.

There are also several bug fixes, such as fixing minor crashes and issues in some missions. The complete patch notes can be found on the official Ubisoft website.
Fans want New Game+
Players are slowly losing hope: As much as players appreciate the continued support for Far Cry 5, the community’s biggest wish has still not been fulfilled. Even at launch, there were requests for New Game+ or an additional save slot to replay the story.
Even in the post about the current update, players in the Far Cry subreddit are still asking for New Game+. However, the response comes from other users: “Just forget it!”
Are you still playing Far Cry 5 or would the current update be an update worth coming back for?
