Is the creepy killer clown Pennywise from the movie IT also haunting Hope County? Clues suggest that the Eden’s Gate cult is not the only evil lurking in Far Cry 5.
Among the most popular and challenging activities in Far Cry 5 are the search for and excavation of Prepper Caches. These often provide valuable rewards and are sometimes associated with tricky puzzle fun.
Sometimes you can also find interesting additional information about the events in Hope County. Recently, a Prepper Cache triggered the hunt for mythical creatures: Allegedly, the legendary Bigfoot is said to haunt the Whitetail Mountains in Hope County.
Now, the clues are pointing to something far more sinister.
Is IT here? Are the psychopaths from Eden’s Gate getting competition?
Clues from the Prepper Cache in O’Hara’s ghost house and from a drainage pipe near the crop circles at Fall’s End suggest that the murderous clown Pennywise from the famous film IT is now also causing havoc in picturesque Hope County.
Initially, players were drawn to a red balloon at the entrance of a drainage pipe.
Following this discovery, many speculated that this could be a reference to the malevolent clown from Stephen King’s IT. The combination of a tied red balloon and a drainage entrance or grate is characteristic of the killer clown Pennywise. The red balloon embodies the trademark of the horror clown, with which the mysterious creature lures little children into the sewers.
But that was not the end of the matter. Shortly thereafter, players were alerted to the Prepper Cache in O’Hara’s Ghost House. Here, not only useful Prepper rewards await the protagonist. Just from the note at the entrance door, one senses that something is amiss.
Upon entering, players must venture through a creepy hall reminiscent of a carnival, through a bizarre horror cabinet full of corpses, before finally stumbling upon further clues of the presence of evil.
In addition to the characteristic red balloon, players will find a recognizable phone call, another frightening note, and a lot of bloody traces of violence.
The clear clues pointing to IT or the killer clown are hard to deny after a visit to O’Hara’s Ghost House. Apparently, evil has manifested itself not only in the form of Eden’s Gate in Hope County. Whether, how, and when one truly encounters IT remains unknown. It sounds like IT could be possessing the body of a child.
The story is certainly exciting and remains so.
