Far Cry 5 offers an enormous open world. Of course, players want to spend as much time as possible in beautiful Montana. But what is there to do in the game after the campaign ends? We present to you the endgame of Far Cry 5 with fishing, events, and the arcade.
Can’t get enough of the fictional Hope County in Far Cry 5? Luckily, there are still some things to do after finishing the game, as long as you are not affected by a particularly annoying bug. We have selected five activities that will allow you to spend even more time in digital Montana.
1. Prepper Hideouts and Side Missions
Scattered throughout the game world are prepper hideouts waiting to be found. You can either stumble upon the hideouts while exploring or be pointed to them by the locals.
The hideouts are not only associated with fun puzzles or climbing challenges, but they also always contain special loot, including money and perk points.

Additionally, you can complete side missions that you might have missed during the campaign. Particularly the collection missions, where comics, lighters, or barrels must be found throughout Hope County, can be easily completed at the end of the campaign.
However, be cautious with main missions: While some of these quests are not time-sensitive, most are tied to the campaign of the respective region. Main missions should be completed first, as many of them are locked if resistance points are collected too quickly or the three lieutenants are eliminated.
2. Live Events
In Far Cry 5, weekly changing events occur, each with a different theme. The events can be found in the online menu. To participate in the events, players must register again each week.

Special weapons and outfits can be earned that can be used in the campaign. Players are rewarded for their personal contributions which additionally contribute to the community goal. If all players together meet the community challenge, a reward awaits as well.
3. Arcade
Far Cry 5 features a powerful map editor that allows players to create various maps and game modes.
The arcade can be accessed either from the game menu or at the arcade machines in the game. You can also access the editor at any time during the campaign or play other players’ maps.

Since new community ideas are added to the arcade every day, it is also worth checking back regularly after the game ends.
In the arcade, playing maps is not only rewarded with leveling up, but you can also earn money and perk points that can be used in single player or co-op.
4. Fishing
Fishing in Far Cry 5 is not just a relaxing distraction from fighting against the Eden’s Gate cult, but also a great source of income. With better fishing rods, fishing becomes easier in the game, so it’s no surprise that players continue to try to unlock the best of the four fishing rods available in the game even after finishing.

To get the best fishing rod, Old Betsy, you must beat the fishing records in all three regions of Far Cry 5 at difficult fishing spots. The highest weight counts.
Additionally, four common fish species that occur in all areas of the game must be caught.
- Bull Trout
- Gold Trout
- Lake Trout
- Rainbow Trout
Moreover, fish that only occur in the respective region must be found.
Holland Valley
The fishing records for Holland Valley can be found at the bar in Falls End, the “Spread Eagle”.

The fish native to the region are
- White Sturgeon
- Spoonbill
Henbane River
The fishing records for Henbane River can be found in the Hope County prison.

The fish native to the region are
- Black Bass
- Rock Bass
- Crappie
Whitetail Mountains
The fishing records for the Whitetail Mountains can be found at the Whitetail Militia Headquarters, the Wolf’s Den.

The fish native to the region are
- King Salmon
- Red Salmon
- Arctic Grayling
5. DLCs
With the Season Pass, Ubisoft will release three quirky DLCs for Far Cry 5. Each of these will tell its own self-contained stories.

- In “Hours of Darkness” the player is taken back in time to fight the Viet Cong in Vietnam and save his friends.
- In “Lost on Mars” an alien insect problem needs to be solved on Mars.
- The third DLC “Dead Living Zombies” is a coop adventure that revolves around seven B-movie scenarios filled with zombies.
While the DLCs themselves seem unrelated to the campaign, they are expected to bring new weapons and gear into the game.
Are you still spending a lot of time in Far Cry 5 after completing the game?
