The smartphone hit Call of Duty Mobile currently has no support for PS4 or any other controllers. Activision gives players hope here.
This is the current situation: Anyone who wants to play Call of Duty Mobile currently has to be satisfied with the buttons on their phone, or switch to PC. However, there is no controller support for this.
However, those who hope for it may soon be pleased, as Chris Plummer, Vice President of Activision’s Mobile Division, mentioned in an interview with Hyperbeast that this is currently being tested.
Controller support for CoD Mobile?
This is what the developer says: In the interview, Plummer states the following:
“We are exploring the possibility and have already tested controller support with part of our live audience. It is very important to us to maintain a fair balance throughout the game. An example of this is that we have separate lobbies in Battle Royale for players in first-person and third-person perspectives, as you have the option to choose both in Battle Royale. We can implement a similar solution for players using controllers if needed.

What does this mean for players? Activision does not want players using a controller to have a clear advantage over other players who are only playing on their phone’s display.
Therefore, they now want to see how significant the advantage actually is for these players and whether they will receive their own lobbies to play among themselves.
Is controller support conceivable? Call of Duty Mobile had such support in the beta. So it was possible to play smoothly with a controller.

However, this support was removed at the game’s release. It does show that this is indeed possible in the smartphone hit. It is quite conceivable that this support will return soon.
With a controller, it might also be easier to get the most powerful weapon in the game:
