One of the features that players of Overwatch continuously wish for is to share their gameplay progress across multiple platforms. According to Jeff Kaplan, the Overwatch team is aware of this, and they have been discussing such a possibility for a while.
You play Overwatch on console, but would prefer to play on PC with your friends, yet want to keep your earned cosmetics? Or do you play on PC, but would rather relax on the couch and play Blizzard’s hero shooter on Xbox One or PlayStation 4, but your earned level prevents you from doing so?
Time and again, Overwatch players bring up the possibility of sharing their progress in the shooter across the platforms PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. After all, many of them are also connected on console with their Battle.net account.
In a recent interview, Jeff Kaplan addressed the possibility and revealed that the Overwatch team has been thinking about such a feature for some time.

Cross-platform progress might come – one day
“We regularly and frequently discuss this with our tech group,” Kaplan said. “It’s something we would like to investigate. It’s very challenging for many reasons, and I won’t go into all of them. But I believe it’s a very legitimate wish that our players have, and it’s something the Overwatch team would like to figure out.”
Kaplan further stated that his team would continue to work hard to make the players’ wish a reality one day.
Until then, you can first have fun in the new PvE mode “Retribution,” which recently went online as part of the new event.
Do you wish for shared progress across multiple platforms? Do you perhaps play on one platform but would rather switch to another?
