The 1st trailer of GTA 6 was released at the end of 2023, and is now over a year old. Recently, the video on YouTube broke two records. However, in the comments, players are increasingly becoming cynical and share what has happened in their lives since the trailer’s release.
What records has the trailer broken? The trailer for GTA 6 was released in December 2023. At the time of this news, it is already April 2025 – over a year later. Since then, there has been so little new information about GTA 6 that players have likely watched the first trailer on YouTube again and again:
- The trailer has over 250,000,000 views since its release.
- There have been over 12,000,000 upvotes.
- There have been over 1,000,000 comments.
Especially in the past few months, the comments have turned into a cynical narrative about what has happened in players’ lives since the trailer’s release. You can read more about this in this news. . They share, among other things, what has happened in their lives since the trailer’s release and seem to want to put pressure on Rockstar Games.
It’s been a year since the trailer release. I changed my job, my phone, my city. But there hasn’t been a single update on GTA 6.

A lot has happened for many in almost 1.5 years. However, it is doubtful whether Rockstar Games sees the comments and responds in any way.
What about a second trailer for GTA 6? Currently, there is no information on a possible release of a second trailer for GTA 6.
However, Take-Two Interactive, the company behind Rockstar Games and thus GTA 6, according to Business Wire, has called for a call on May 15, 2025, regarding the financial results for the fourth quarter and fiscal year 2025. A second trailer could be released during such a call.
Rockstar Games generally keeps quiet about their game releases. Whether there will be a new trailer on May 15 is likely not to be announced in advance. The rumor mill around GTA 6 has been churning since the first trailer and it doesn’t stop: GTA 6 is so ambitious that Rockstar is reportedly said to have built an entire building just for the game
