Bungie is finally doing what fans of Destiny 2 have wished for years – but in the wrong game.
Why are Destiny fans envious? Bungie posted on X on March 10, explaining that the developers of the Marathon community are responding to feedback about the reward pass (essentially the Battle Pass of Marathon).
The post by Bungie has caused discontent among a part of the community of Bungie’s other game, the loot shooter Destiny 2. Its players are partly astonished at how quickly Bungie suddenly responds to feedback after feeling unheard by the developers for years in Destiny 2.
One player wrote on X: “They must have the evil developer team for Destiny, because how on earth can this even be the same company?” Another player noted on X: “It’s unbelievable and a little scary how quickly and effectively Bungie is responding to the community’s feedback.”
Bungie wants the Battle Pass to be worth the money
What kind of change was that? Bungie wants players to receive a fair value when they spend money on Marathon, as stated in the post. In response to feedback, three additional skins for Runner suits will be added to the paid part of the Battle Pass in mid-April.
- A skin for the Thief
- A skin for the Assassin
- A skin for the Destroyer
Additionally, the free part of the Battle Pass will receive another weapon skin as well as a profile emblem.
On March 7, Bungie already made an adjustment to the LUX bundles (the premium currency of Marathon). German players will now receive a total of 1,120 LUX for 10 €, instead of the previous 1,100 LUX. This change allows players with the 10 € bundle to purchase a skin for a Runner suit since it costs exactly 1,120 LUX. Previously, 20 LUX were missing when loading the premium currency for 10 €.
What’s behind the envy of the Destiny community? Destiny players have been dissatisfied with various aspects of the game for years, such as shop prices, recycled or removed (paid) content, and the Season models. It has also been repeatedly reported that players felt Bungie ignored the feedback.
