A “big Capcom game” is to be announced
What is to be announced? According to leaker Dusk Golem, a “big Capcom game” is to be announced at the end of 2023 and released next year. This comment was picked up by user “suiciniv22” as a screenshot in the MonsterHunter subreddit on November 27.
Given that Capcom’s Street Fighter 6 has already been released and Dragon’s Dogma 2 is set to be released on March 22, fans believe it could be a new Monster Hunter World.
“Give me Monster Hunter World”
This is what fans are saying about the leak: In the subreddit for Monster Hunter, several users commented on the post from November 27, expressing their hope for a new Monster Hunter World. “those_pistachios” writes: “Please [Monster Hunter] World 2.” User “ElysiumXIII” writes: “I will literally empty my wallet for Monster Hunter World 2 when it’s announced.”
In the GamingLeaksAndRumours subreddit, “Anthrax-Warhead” also shared a screenshot of Dusk Golem’s comments on November 27. Fans are also hoping for a second part of MHW there. Under the post, “WashombiShwimp” writes that he is convinced that “Monster Hunter World 2 will be revealed at the Game Awards.” – that is on December 7.
Fans are also commenting on the leak on Twitter. Under Idle Sloth’s post, users are writing: “Give me MHW,” “I’m betting on Monster Hunter, but Dino-Crisis would also be great for its fans” and “Monster Hunter World 2. Please, dear God.”
Other users there comment that it could simply be Capcom’s Dragon’s Dogma 2, the sequel to the action role-playing game Dragon’s Dogma from 2012. However, it already has a release date and thus does not need to be “announced” yet.
