Where is Patch 1.0.4? Actually, all players were expecting a new update for New World today, on October 27th. There are plenty of problems and necessary bug fixes, including 3 major problems in PvP or a build that makes you nearly immortal.
However, there has been no trace of the new update so far.
However, community manager Luxendra has posted in the forum and revealed that more bug fixes are being worked on in the background. However, it was not clear when the next update will actually arrive. It was merely mentioned that you should keep an eye on the official news in the forum:

Players demand more communication and transparency
How are players reacting? According to Google Trends, many players are currently searching for information about the patch and possible maintenance. There are also threads in the “New World” forum and on reddit discussing the missing update:
- KarenTookThyKids posts in the forum: “I have not been able to access my character for 5 days due to a bug, and hundreds of others are experiencing the same.”
- There-is-only-Zuul writes on reddit: “I bet they are extremely stressed, but they brought it on themselves. Be more transparent! Stop dealing with insignificant details and fix the damn bugs.”
- Lemondrop explains the frustration of players as follows: “Every Wednesday there have been maintenance and patch notes. One can therefore assume that this will continue or an announcement will come if it is not the case. This is called communication. If communication does not take place in a game that has as many bugs as New World, it just raises eyebrows.”
However, there are also voices that can understand the delay of the patch. They wish that Amazon would fix the errors correctly and test thoroughly rather than just patching half-fixes or even introducing new issues into the game.
