A Reddit user shares how much fun he had with the beta of Diablo 4. After having already overcome cancer, he faces another major surgery, as he recounts. Due to his medical history, he cannot afford the full version at launch, but the Global Community Development Director of Diablo 4, Adam Fletcher, helps him out with a key.
Here’s the backstory of the Reddit user: The user defekT1312 reports on reddit that he has been battling cancer for years. In 2020, things looked good for him, but now the disease has returned. During a biopsy, the medical team found something that needs to be removed.
The surgery must be performed near a major artery and will therefore be extremely complicated. The user also does not know whether he will need chemotherapy again after the operation.
At that moment, the server slam for Diablo 4 came just in time. Although defekT1312 had thousands of thoughts in his head, thanks to the beta, his fear faded into the background.
In the following video, the MeinMMO editorial team reveals how they liked the Diablo 4 beta:
In a post, he shares the experiences he had during the beta and how much fun it brought him. Unfortunately, he cannot afford the full version of Diablo 4 because he has no money left due to his medical history.
What does the user say about the beta: defekT1312 leveled a Hunter and a Necromancer to level 20 each. The class of the hunter with unique specializations particularly appealed to him, as he liked the fast and versatile combat style.
The Necromancer challenged the Reddit user more, but he was also satisfied with that class – despite the pretty harsh nerf of the class and the criticism of it.
After trying both classes, he opted for the Barbarian on the hardcore difficulty, but quickly switched back to normal difficulty.
He defeated the world boss Ashava on his second attempt, earning the special reward. He found the fight enjoyable.
