What is the deal with the darkness? Hintboyright used an overlay that darkens his entire screen. Only small areas were uncovered, like the glow from several flashlights. This glow was controlled by other players who could illuminate different areas of the screen.
This way, it was possible to at least see certain areas – like the crosshair or current health points. The more skillful the “teammates” were in following the enemies with their glow, the easier Hintboyright could score some kills with Tracer.
Idea gets a lot of support on Reddit: In general, the idea is praised on Reddit. It could establish itself as a fun method of entertainment, especially on Twitch or other streaming platforms. Some players are already hoping that there might one day be an option for viewers to take on the role of the flashlights. No wonder the short clip received more than 28,000 upvotes.
