Some players choose their class in Baldur’s Gate 3 based on their strength, some based on their versatility. But a Reddit post makes it clear that class-specific dialogue options can also be an important selection criterion during character creation. The community can help with this and even has a corresponding statistic ready.
What did the community find out? A player (IkujaKatsumaji) noticed during a Co-Op campaign in Baldur’s Gate 3 that his friend’s monk had many more class-specific dialogue options available than his character. He himself usually played fighter, paladin, wizard, or warlock and was surprised by the significant difference in the number of options. When he shared this experience in a Reddit post, a reply quickly followed:
The player SageTegan posted a statistic that illustrates which classes are endowed with the most class-specific tags and thus have the most special options in dialogue. And it is surprising how large the gap between classes can be.

Loud and intimidating seems to prevail
Which class has the most dialogue options? According to the posted statistic, the berserker barbarian has the most special dialogue options, which many people are pleased about in the comments under the post:
- DMoney159 writes (via Reddit): “The berserker is great because all the special lines just consist of shouting at people.”
But it is not just the dialogues; the barbarian-specific actions are also only available to the barbarian:
- noobtheloser writes (via Reddit): “I was already impressed by the barbarian in the tutorial dungeon when I could just rip apart Shadowheart’s pod.”
Following the barbarian are the paladin (with all its subclasses and the oathbreaker at the top), as well as the bard and cleric. The ranger and fighter have the least class-specific dialogue options.

Which race has the most special scenes? Now that someone has chosen a class, they might wonder which race from Baldur’s Gate 3 receives the most love in the form of specific scenes.
Here, SageTegan also shares another statistic, whose leading race stands out significantly above the others. The Githyanki have by far the most scenes in Baldur’s Gate 3. They are followed by the Drow (Lolth and Seldarine) and Duergar dwarves.
The races with the fewest special scenes are humans and half-elves. In combination, it can be said that the human fighter will therefore receive the fewest special dialogues or scenes.
Anyone who really wants to play a character in Baldur’s Gate 3 that has as many special options in dialogue and possible actions should consider the barbarian. But that could really be a lot of fun! According to the community, the barbarian is not only considered the class with the most dialogue options but also with the best: The best dialogues belong to the least intelligent class in Baldur’s Gate 3: ‘They don’t care about anything, and I love it’
