The famous Twitch streamer Nicholas “Nickmercs” Kolcheff (31) complained in a stream about Halo Infinite and talked about what potential the game could have had. The community hopes for a Halo Battle Royale from Certain Affinity.
What is Halo Infinite like? Halo Infinite was considered one of the big hopes in the shooter genre last year. However, players showered it with negative comments and criticized numerous issues in the game.
The Twitch streamer Nickmercs also expressed his frustration about Halo Infinite and is upset about how successful the game could have been.
Who is Nickmercs? Nickmercs is a prominent Twitch streamer and YouTuber. His YouTube channel has 4.03 million subscribers. On Twitch, he even has 6.5 million (as of July 15, 2022, via YouTube and Twitch).

Translated, the streamer said the following:
The gaming community as a whole was ready for a new, damn fantastic game and Halo dropped the damn ball. Everyone in this damn company should be ashamed, man. [The studio] 343 is a joke. They are damn terrible. They don’t give a crap about anyone who plays their games, old or new. Their damn pride and ego got in the way of what could have been incredible timing. God, it could have literally taken everything over. But instead, they now have 800 people in the damn game.

What does the community say about it? On Twitter, user @hiBeekle shared a video excerpt the same day in which Nickmercs rant about Halo Infinite (via Twitter). Many users agreed with the streamer in the comments:
- @CodyReese: ‘100 %’
- @vs Douggie: ‘We should all be playing Halo BR [Battle Royale] right now – it hits so differently. Very sad.’
- @ZaayWoop: ‘If they had come out with more maps and a well-thought-out BR from the start, it would have changed the game. Since BRs have existed, I have always wanted a Halo BR, as it could have been better than anything coming out now and I have been a Halo player since Halo Ce.’
Halo Battle Royale, the salvation of the Halo franchise?
What about a Halo Battle Royale? There are rumors that the game studio Certain Affinity is working on a Halo Battle Royale mode.
Here you can read what info is available on a possible Halo Battle Royale.
In the past, the developers have been asked about a possible Battle Royale mode. However, at that time they had rather disenchanted responses, and a Battle Royale mode seemed to be no option at all.
Maybe this will change now after the many negative comments from fans and Twitch streamers like Nickmercs.

It’s not the first time that Nickmercs has spoken negatively about Halo Infinite: back in March, the Twitch streamer called the game a flop.
