Glue is one of the most needed resources in Fallout 76. This guide shows you how to always ensure you have enough glue.
Whether crafting or repairing equipment, almost everything in Fallout 76 requires glue in some form.
In our guide, we will show you which items can be used to obtain glue and how you can easily become self-sufficient with your camp.

You can find these resources throughout the game world. Be particularly watchful in workshops, garages, and other buildings where tools can often be found.
Important: Also mark the material you need for search. This way, it will always show you whether certain junk contains the desired material.
Craft Your Own Glue
How can you ensure a supply for yourself? All you need is vegetable starch. You can find it under “Useful” at the cooking station. Cook the appropriate ingredients. Vegetable starch can then be converted into glue at any workbench.
What do you need for vegetable starch? To produce it, you will need:
- Corn: You can find it north of the Morgantown Airport. You can reach there during the early story.
- Tato Fruits: The Tato Fruits are easy to find right at Flatwoods. Thus, you will encounter them right at the beginning of the game.
- Mutfruit: You can also find Mutfruit in Flatwoods.
- Purified Water: You can find it everywhere in the area, and you will also be able to use your camp to purify it.
In your camp, you can plant and harvest all these ingredients yourself. You can find the plants in the “Food” tab. With the Perception Perk “Green Thumb”, you will receive double the amount when harvesting your self-grown plants. So be sure to equip it for particularly effective farming.
To produce purified water in your camp, you need to unlock blueprints for the appropriate devices. You will need:
- a small water purifier,
- a small generator
- and a medium generator.
You will get the plans for these items as soon as you unlock one of the workshops. To finally build items, you also need to gather fertilizer. You will find it at the Agricultural Center in Flatwoods.
