Fallout 76 is approaching its release and more details about the game are becoming known. Now new perk cards have surfaced that could benefit PvP fans and rogues.
Data miners find new perks: Shortly after the launch of the Fallout 76 beta for PC and PS4, some data miners set out to extract information from the game data. In doing so, they came across some new perks.
Possible Perks for PvP in Fallout 76
What are Perks? With perks, players can improve various attributes or gain abilities in Fallout 76. Perks are represented in Fallout 76 by cards that players can equip or share with their group.
With each level up, you receive a perk card in one of your S.P.E.C.I.A.L. attributes that you have chosen to upgrade. The corresponding card can then be equipped for that attribute.
You also receive card packs at certain levels that may contain various perks for which you do not necessarily meet the requirements. This encourages trying out other things as well.
More damage, less bounty in PvP: New perks have now surfaced in the game files that are particularly interesting for PvP players. Some of them even make PvP easier for players who kill others who are not interested in PvP:
- Outlaw: Reduces the time a bounty is placed on you by 20/40/60%.
- Wrecking Ball: Increases damage against C.A.M.P. objects.
- Fix It Upper: Allows you to repair objects up to 200% of their hit points.
- Penetrator: Removes the penalty in VATS when the target is behind cover.
- Lucky Break: There is a chance that your armor will repair itself when hit.
There is also a perk that seems to have a wider use and improves mutations:
- Frayed Genes: Enhances the positive effects of a mutation.
All these perks are cards that were found in the files. These are often things that exist only as ideas and never actually make it into the game. Whether you will ever see these perks remains to be seen.
So far, the PvP seems to be well received among fans. Players of Fallout 76 celebrate the bounty system, because those who are broke are punished twice.
