Actually, the Fallout 76 hotfix for the poorly received Patch 5 was supposed to be applied later, but Bethesda has now released it early.
The hotfix is here!
What does the hotfix fix? The hotfix, which went live last night, fixes the following issues:
- The weight of the hair clippers has been reduced back to 0.001.
- It is now possible to use large amounts of junk for crafting and repairing.
- (Known) blueprints/recipes are no longer displayed across characters.
What caused the issues? Bethesda explains that a mistake occurred during the merging of two build versions of the game, which reintroduced issues that were supposed to be fixed. Additionally, there was a problem with the user interface that came into the game with Patch 5. Alongside the mentioned points, there was also criticism of some other changes introduced by the patch. Bethesda provides explanations for this:
- The ability to obtain the plans for the Ultracite Power Armor at Taggerdy’s Terminal was introduced because many players had deleted or lost it after the fight against the Queen of the Scorchbeasts.
- Further balancing adjustments are planned for energy weapons and non-legendary weapons. The current changes have not been well received and the team agrees.
- Changes to the perks, especially in combination with the mods, had to be introduced to ensure better balance in card selection. More adjustments are planned for this.
- The prices for vendor plans have been increased because they no longer appear as rarely but are still meant to be something special.
Community is satisfied with the hotfix
What about the “Known Issues” list? Bethesda states that the release of the “Known Issues” list is delayed because the team is still gathering the necessary information. However, players should not expect to find every detail in this list. The list is supposed to be kept up to date.
How is the community reacting? So far, the reactions to the changes are generally positive. Players are happy that everything is back to “normal.” However, there has been little change in the tense overall atmosphere due to the overall situation.
