In Fallout 76 you should revive the American dream. This does not only refer to the military world power America. Vice President Pete Hines speaks more specifically about a completely different feature: trading.
Trading with other players: In Fallout 76, anyone else you meet will also be a player. You can basically interact with other players – whether friendly or hostile.
In an announcement regarding Fallout 76, Bethesda stated that trading with other players will also be possible. So you don’t have to fight through the wasteland alone!
Trading in Fallout 76 as a possible cornerstone
The trading in Fallout 76 is supposed to offer players opportunities to take a different path than that of weapons. With the ability to trade with players, you can decide to become a craftsman instead of a warrior.
Ownership of the body is secure, even when dead
Player corpses cannot be looted: In Fallout 76, players can anytime simply shoot each other down. Those with the best weapons and armor therefore have a significant advantage in this regard.
This raises the question: Why should you trade at all and not just take? The answer is provided immediately: Player corpses cannot be looted. So if you see a player with great goods, you have to acquire them from him. Simply taking him out and looting is not possible.
But shops can probably be looted…
Open your own shop: If you want to actively trade with other players, you can simply open your own shops. This is highlighted in the announcement from Bethesda. With the C.A.M.P. system, you can even easily set up and take your shops anywhere!
Unlike your corpses, these are apparently not protected. So choose your neighborhood carefully before opening a kiosk. Corrugated iron provides little protection against nuclear missiles.
Fallout 76 offers room for different playstyles: With the system and features, Fallout 76 aims to enable many forms of gameplay. Whether you want to open a workshop or a shop, settle down, or roam the wastes as a nomad.
With the trading system, you can specialize in such gameplay variants. If you get good at the crafting and building system, you might become “that one wanderer” who sells the best steaks in the wasteland.
