Bethesda has announced a premium service for Fallout 76: Fallout 1st. This will allow for new private worlds and offer additional bonuses, but it will also be available via subscription.
What is Fallout 1st? Fallout 1st is a premium service with a subscription model, where players can secure various advantages for Fallout 76. These include:
- Access to private worlds
- A scrap box with unlimited space for crafting materials (in addition to the storage box)
- A survival tent that can be placed freely and serves as a small camp
- exclusive cosmetics
In addition, players receive 1650 atoms monthly (approximately €15 value). Updates, such as the delayed Wastelanders update, will likely continue to be available without Fallout 1st.

Exclusive service for private servers
Do I need Fallout 1st for private servers? Fallout 1st appears to be required to use the newly announced private worlds. In these, up to eight players (the owner and seven others) can play isolated from other players in peace.
However, only the owner of the world needs a valid access to Fallout 1st. Only existing characters can join; new ones cannot be created here. The owner decides who can join through invitations.
What other advantages does Fallout 1st offer? The survival tent provides everything players need in the wilderness:
- Storage box
- Sleeping bag
- Scrap box
- Cooking station
If you urgently need a rest or a free fast travel point, you can set up the tent anywhere as a smaller variant of the bulky C.A.M.P.s. The tents work in both public and private worlds.
Who is the offer worthwhile for? The €14.99 per month is roughly equivalent to the value users receive back in atoms. So if you like to spend money on skins anyway, you get the same amount of atoms and additional advantages.
Moreover, “pack rats” will benefit from the offer. The additional box provides more space in storage to keep more weapons or special armor pieces.
