There is more new information about the new game Fallout 76 and an E3 trailer. Fallout 76 is said to be 4 times larger than Fallout 4 and set in West Virginia. From Vault 76, America is supposed to be rebuilt.
Earlier than expected: Todd Howard from Bethesda unexpectedly appeared at the Microsoft press conference of E3 2018 and gave players a first glimpse of Fallout 76. There was also some limited information. It was said that Fallout 74 is supposed to be four times larger than Fallout 4.
West Virginia as setting: Fallout 76 takes place in the hills of West Virginia. Some had already suspected this after the teaser trailer, where “County Roads” by John Denver was also heard, which sings about West Virginia.
Rebuilding civilization: The player will be one of the first to re-enter the world after the nuclear war. From Vault 76, America is to be rebuilt. Much more cannot be seen in the short trailer. The trailer confirms what we already knew about the story of Vault 76: The game is a prequel to all Fallout games so far. Thus, the world is still devastated, and there are no signs of civilization. Players will have to rebuild it.
Is Fallout 76 really an online RPG?
Trailer corresponds to the rumors we know so far: Very little is officially known about Fallout 76. However, there was a credible rumor prior to the reveal that the game was supposed to be an online survival RPG, similar to Rust or DayZ. However, it was said that despite this unusual direction for a Fallout game, Fallout 76 will also offer a compelling story. Even though the trailer seems to somewhat confirm these rumors, one still cannot say so definitively.
