Stimpaks are one of the most important resources in Fallout 76. Our guide explains where to find them and how to craft Stimpaks.
Among the most important healing items in Fallout 76 are Stimpaks. They provide you with a boost to health points and even regenerate them for a short period.
Not everyone is lucky enough to have many Stimpaks on hand. However, you can remedy this, as there is a blueprint for crafting them. This guide explains where to find it and what you need for crafting.
Crafting Stimpaks? Only with the blueprint
Getting the blueprint for Stimpaks is not so easy. If you’re not lucky enough to find it as random loot.
You can find the blueprint at this location: To guarantee that you get the blueprint, you must join the Enclave. The base of this faction is located in the Whitespring bunker, which you cannot enter immediately.

Before that, you need to clear some Mirelurks out of a cave in the east of Appalachia. However, you must have reached a certain level; otherwise, it could turn out to be a frustrating experience. To know exactly how to join the Enclave and other factions, you can find out in our guide to the factions.
How to level up quickly, you can find out in our Mein-MMO guide to leveling up quickly in Fallout 76.
Once you’ve done that, you need to find the infirmary in the Whitespring bunker. Enter through the main entrance and take the elevator to the lower floors. There, you should follow the signs to find the infirmary.

What do I need to craft Stimpaks? Crafting Stimpaks is not as difficult as finding the blueprint. You will need materials that are relatively common:
- 2x Antiseptic
- 1x Steel
- 1x Blood Pack
There is also a perk card that can help you find Stimpaks more often.
This perk card makes your life easier: The card is called Pharma-Farmer and increases your chance of finding items like Stimpaks, Blood Packs, and other chems in crates. Even at level 1, your chance is increased by 40%. In our guide, you can find all the information about perk cards and the Special system.

Surviving in the Wasteland of West Virginia
There are still a few tips that can help you survive. For example, you can convert your Stimpaks.
Make two out of one Stimpak – this is how you dilute them: One way to stay alive longer is by diluting your Stimpaks. At a workbench, you can combine your Stimpaks with purified water to create diluted Stimpaks.
Of course, these give you fewer health points, but with this, you have more Stimpaks available. You need one Stimpak for two diluted ones. That means more items to heal yourself in emergencies. However, Stimpaks are not the only tools that can keep you alive.

What else can help? There are also other methods to stay alive. These include:
- Eating and drinking: Any food and drink you consume will regenerate part of your health points. So always carry enough supplies. Conveniently, this also reduces your hunger and thirst. Drinks like Nuka and Cherry Cola are especially helpful and even give you extra caps—if only one per bottle.
- Sleeping/resting: Once you find a bed somewhere, seize the opportunity and rest. It slowly regenerates your health points and also gives you a temporary bonus for the XP you receive. Mattresses and sleeping bags on the ground can, however, cause you diseases.
