In Fallout 76, you have the opportunity to drop nuclear bombs in the game world using codes. You can see what this looks like in this video from IGN, thanks to the recent preview event.
Thanks to the flood of gameplay materials for Fallout 76, you can finally watch the impact of a nuclear missile and see what effects it has. It is visually quite impressive.
What are the nuclear bombs about? The nuclear weapons are part of the story in Fallout 76 and also an important endgame activity.
When a nuclear bomb strikes an area, it becomes heavily radiated. The environment mutates and brings forth new, more powerful mutants. These, in turn, yield better loot.

How do you activate atomic bombs? You need codes to launch these nuclear strikes at the respective terminals. You can find these codes scattered in individual fragments throughout the game world.
Once the command is given, the targeted area will be shown to all players on the map. They can either fast-travel directly to the vicinity of the impact site or flee the area.
In theory, it is possible to destroy other players’ settlements with these atomic bombs. This also makes fans skeptical. They fear that the bombs could cause a lot of chaos.

How often this will happen remains to be seen until the release on November 14. However, it may be possible to see the first nuclear strikes in the beta.
This beta starts on October 23 on Xbox One. The PC and PS4 will follow a week later. Here’s how to participate in the beta.
