Along with Update 13, Fallout 76 has received a new community event. This spans several weeks and allows players to bring back a popular event for some time.
Which event can be brought back? It is about the Meat Week with Grahm. The first Meat Week was a limited-time event in August where players could grill and celebrate with the super mutant Grahm.
During the event, players had to collect meat from various animals and bring it to Grahm so he could prepare it on his grill. Meanwhile, players were supposed to take care of the party preparations.
Afterward, Grahm provided rewards for a successful party. The better the party was, the better the rewards. The event was very well received, and players wished for its return shortly after it ended.
Meat Week is back if everyone helps
Here’s how the event returns: In the new Update 13 Bethesda has published “Project: A Clean Appalachia”. For this, there are rewards when the community completes certain tasks. These include:
- the return of Meat Week from September 26-29 (reward for weeks 1 and 2)
- discounts at the legendary vendor from October 17-21 (reward for weeks 4-6)
- skins, hairstyles, C.A.M.P. objects, and cosmetics as “stretch goals” beyond the minimum requirements
Meat Week can be extended through such stretch goals until October 3. Additionally, there will be extra events such as weekends with double experience and gifts or offers in the Atomic Shop.
The community event runs for 6 weeks and requires that the whole community pulls together. To achieve the goals, all players must work together to complete various tasks, which have so far included killing 100,000 Flamerbeasts or 8 million Scorched.
How is the event being received? The idea is positively received in the community. Players are already actively discussing how much they have done for the community and encouraging other players to do their part as well.
There are even suggestions on how the event could be further improved. Some players, for instance, wish that the number of enemies killed as a community would appear in the new news feed when starting the game.
This way, there would be a better overview and players could be encouraged to participate when only a few enemies are left or simply to bring the event to the attention of the Vault dwellers.
