Bethesda’s online game Fallout 76 will receive two updates this month. However, fans should not expect any major new content, as the developers want to first address the game’s issues.
What’s coming? Two updates are planned. There are currently no patch notes, but Bethesda has outlined what players can expect. Overall, over 150 “fixes” are to be included.
- Challenges and quests will be optimized and improved
- The update will make adjustments to skills and weapons
- Several exploits are to be removed
- The focus is on improving stability and performance
Even less is known about the second update. It is expected to be released before the end of the month and will address the number of building plans that merchants have available as well as improve some legendary mods and skills.
When is the update coming? The PC version, including maintenance, is scheduled for today, January 10 at around 3 PM. The version for Playstation 4 and Xbox One will follow on January 14. Patch notes will follow once the servers are back online.
New content must wait
What about new content? Bethesda is currently not discussing additional content. More content is planned, but it will likely be introduced at a later time. The team wants to first address the issues of Fallout 76 that players have reported. Only when the online game runs smoothly will new content be considered.
How are players reacting to this? In the forum, players express some disappointment that no patch notes have been published yet. While many fans understand that Bethesda is focusing on the game’s issues first, calls for new content are growing louder.
