The “Wild Appalachia” update of Fallout 76 is complete, marking the first part of the major roadmap for 2019. To celebrate this milestone, Bethesda released some interesting statistics about the game – for example, regarding player deaths.
What kind of opponent is this? This is the Imposter Sheepsquatch introduced in Patch 8, a modified Aggressotron, which now believes itself to be a cryptid and terrorizes players.
It appears when you have completed the corresponding new quest and are participating in the associated event, which you can then initiate. So far, the Sheepsquatch has already killed 1,967,657 players in less than two months.
The Imposter Sheepsquatch is currently the most dangerous boss in the game, even more dangerous than the Queen of the Blightbeasts. Bethesda also released some other interesting numbers.
How Wild Appalachia Went
At the conclusion of the “Wild Appalachia” update, there are still some interesting data that Bethesda has collected over time about Fallout 76:
- Nearly 6 million photos were taken with the new ProSnap Deluxe camera
- Over 5.5 million legendary items were exchanged at vending machines
- Almost 45 million Legendary Certificates were exchanged at the legendary vendor
- The most popular homebrew drink is beer
- The most purchased items in the new player shops are fusion cores
However, there were no figures regarding the new PvP mode “Survival”, which also came with Wild Appalachia.
What Happens Next
After “Wild Appalachia” is over, Bethesda mentioned once again what will happen with Fallout 76 moving forward. The next update on the roadmap for 2019 is “Nuclear Winter”.
The “Nuclear Winter” update is expected to bring a new game mode, but nothing is known about it yet. Additionally, Vaults 94 and 96 will be opened to serve as raids for players. They could be even bigger and harder than the new laboratory dungeon.
Later in the year, after Nuclear Winter, “Wastelanders” is also expected to be released, along with new events, features, and a new main story. More information will be provided by Bethesda at the upcoming E3 press conference:
