The first expansion for Diablo 4, Vessel of Hatred, introduces a new class to the game. And an expert is already presenting a strong build for the Spiritborn, with which you can literally fly over the map.
- The new class “Spiritborn” comes with Vessel of Hatred in Diablo 4.
- The Spiritborn has a connection to the “Spirit Guardians” as a class mechanic, which he can summon to utilize their skills. A overview of all skills and legendary aspects of the Spiritborn can be found here.
- Players can choose one primary spirit and one secondary spirit from a total of four spirits: Eagle, Jaguar, Gorilla, and Centipede.
Diablo expert “Rob2628” had the opportunity to check out the Spiritborn in advance during the event at Blizzard – and particularly one build has apparently made a real impression on him. With this build, you literally fly over the map while grilling your enemies with lightning.
The Eagle Build grills enemies with lightning
What kind of build is this? In a YouTube video, Rob presents a special eagle build for the Spiritborn. It is said to be the fastest-paced build and is perfect for the endgame. The build focuses on fast movement, vulnerability, and enormous lightning damage. You use the spirit skills to both boost your damage and enhance your defense.
How does the build play? The “Sailing” is the main source of vulnerability and determination, both of which play a crucial role in the build. The defensive gorilla skill “Shattering Stomp” makes you unstoppable in the enhanced version and provides a barrier.
With this build, you are always on the move to evade attacks, reduce cooldowns, and remain unstoppable. At the same time, you deal more damage the more movement speed you have.

The following skills are included in the build:
- Thunder Spear (Base, Eagle) – Lightning Damage
- A fast thrust with a piercing strike that deals 15% damage. The 3rd attack penetrates further, dealing 23% damage and reducing your evade cooldown by 5 seconds.
- Spike Salvo (Core, Eagle) – Lightning Damage
- Launches 5 feathers that pierce enemies, each dealing [14%] damage.
- Whirl (Focus, Eagle) – Lightning Damage
- Creates a whirlwind that pulls enemies inward, followed by a devastating downdraft that deals them 35% damage.
- Sailing (Focus, Mobility, Eagle) – Lightning Damage
- Soar into the air and create a cloud that makes your enemies at the target location vulnerable for 5 seconds, before diving down to deal [50%] damage.
- Shattering Stomp (Defensive, Gorilla) – Physical Damage
- You stomp in front of you, unleashing a shockwave that deals [15%] damage and knocks down enemies for 3 seconds.
- Cutting Wings (Power, Eagle) – Lightning Damage
- Launch multiple sharp spirit feathers that ricochet and deal [50%] damage in every direction.
- The Seeker (Ultimate, Eagle) – Lightning Damage
- The eagle spirit descends and deals [20%] damage. After a short delay, it takes off again and deals [300%] damage.
